What is Google Adsense ?
Google Adsense is a program by Google where Publishers can sign-up and if approved can place ads on their website/blog and can earn some $ if someone clicks on those ads which differ every time based on location and various factors.
What is SEO ?
SEO stands for search engine optimization which has nothing to do with Google Adsense in any way. For more, you can read my answer on SEO here
However, you would be earning more with Google Adsense if your website SEO is good. Let us understand how?
Better SEO = Better Rankings
Better Rankings = More Organic Traffic
More Traffic = More Clicks on Ads placed on website
More clicks on ads = More $$$ rolling into your Google Adsense Account.
Even if you are already running AdWords or AdSense, you should still perform search engine optimization strategies to cater to organic rankings. Why? People choose organic results 94 percent of the time than ads. If you’re not on the first page of Google (or other search engines), don’t expect to get as much traffic or clicks.
If you currently have an SEO campaign but want to start an AdWords or AdSense project, go ahead. It will NOT affect your organic rankings whatsoever. In a digital marketing sense, these two campaigns are actually different. So if you run both, you’ll need to measure two progress reports and look at two varied results.
